RIO DE JANEIRO Shaquill Griffin Youth Jersey , Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- All but two of the 45 test events for the Rio 2016 Olympics will be held within a year of the Games' opening ceremony, the local organizing committee said on Monday.
The first trial event - sailing - is currently underway at the Gloria Marina while the marathon will be tested next July, according to a draft calendar.
An additional 43 test events covering 22 sports will be held in the final year before the Games begin on August 5.
"Test events are a vital part of the preparations for staging the Games, providing the opportunity to put all our planning into practice," test events general manager Delphine Moulin said.
"They also present an invaluable chance to integrate the organizing committee's team with the international and national sports federations and government teams, who also have a crucial role to play in the delivery of the Games."
According to Moulin Ethan Pocic Youth Jersey , the test events will be grouped into three categories.
Open-air sports like rowing, road cycling and equestrian will be trialled from July to October next year.
Tests for indoor events like table tennis, boxing and wheelchair rugby will be staged from November 2015 to February 2016.
A third cluster, from March to May 2016, will feature events with a large number of disciplines like athletics and swimming.
KAMPALA, July 13 (Xinhua) -- Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has flagged off the team that will represent the country in the 2014 Commonwealth Games slated to take place in Glasgow Scotland from July 23-Aug. 3.
Museveni in a State House statement issued here on Sunday told the contingent of 100 athletes to be disciplined.
He urged members of the team to avoid alcohol and cigarette smoking that are detrimental to their health and assured them of his pledge to reward all the best performers in any international event by giving them a monthly package of 2 million shillings (769 U.S. dollars)
He also promised to off-set the deficit faced by the team of 370 million shillings (142 Kam Chancellor Youth Jersey ,307 dollars) required for their facilitation during the Games.
The athletes will participate in swimming, rugby, table tennis, squash, cycling, shooting and weightlifting.

Trump named retired Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg as the acting national security adviser. Kellogg had previously been appointed the National Security Council chief of staff and advised Trump during the campaign. Trump is also considering former CIA Director David Petraeus and Vice Admiral Robert Harward, a U.S. Navy SEAL Russell Wilson Youth Jersey , for the post, according to a senior administration official.
The Trump team's account of Flynn's discussions with the Russian envoy changed repeatedly over several weeks, including the number of contacts, the dates of those contacts and ultimately, the content of the conversations.
