MADRID Mack Hollins Limited Jersey , Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- FC Barcelona have confirmed that striker Luis Suarez will be able to make his debut in the ""Clasico"" against Real Madrid in Madrid's Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on October 25th.
The Spanish Football League, announced the date and time for the much anticipated fixture on Wednesday and for a short period it was thought Suarez, who is serving a four month ban for biting Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini during the World Cup finals, would not be able to play as his suspension supposedly ended on that day.
However, Barcelona have issued a statement confirming the ban actually ends on midnight October 24, meaning that if coach Luis Enrique sees fit, Suarez could play.
""It has also been confirmed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) that Uruguayan Luis Suarez will be able to play in the game as his suspension will have been served,"" explained Barcelona.
The Catalan club had appealed against the length of Suarez's ban in August, but their appeal was rejected although the CAS did revoke the part of the suspension which prohibited Suarez training with his team-mates or playing friendly matches.
The big doubt now is whether or not the Uruguayan will have the match fitness to go straight into the Barca starting 11 for the most important game of the season or whether Luis Enrique will start with him as a substitute.

BEIJING, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- China's foreign exchange reserve grew 129.4 billion U.S. dollars in 2017 to reach 3.1399 trillion U.S. dollars at the end of last year, the country's forex regulator said Thursday.
The country has seen a consecutive rise in forex reserve for 11 months from February to December, according to the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE).
BERLIN, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- A booming economy and low interestrates in Germany may mask underlying weakness in the country'sfinancial system and lead to an overestimate of debt capacity, theGerman central bank (Bundesbank) warned Wednesday.
In its financial stability report, the Bundesbank warned of agrowing risk of complacency among German policymakers, investors,and consumers after an economic momentum that's been going strongfor eight years.
The Bundesbank is hence less upbeat than the European CentralBank (ECB) about financial stability. According to the ECB,economic stress factors throughout the eurozone declined in thepast six months thanks to a spreading recovery.
Nevertheless, both the Frankfurt-based central banks share fearssurrounding the poor performance of financial institutions andtheir related ability to cope with a sudden shock.
The Bundesbank noted that even though banks had been forced tobuild up much larger capital reserves in the wake of the financialcrisis, there was still reason to believe that preparations forpotential credit defaults were insufficient. Small and mid-sizedbanks in particular could face difficulties if interest rates wereto rise abruptly from their current extremely-low level.
Furthermore, risks of re-evaluations, interest rate changes andcredit defaults could materialize simultaneously and reinforce eachother.
Bundesbank director Andreas Dombret told a press conference thatthe Bundesbank was monitoring the risk posed by an interest ratehike "very carefully".
Only recently, the German Council of Economic Experts identified"clear signs" that the German economy was approaching the limits ofits capacity. The development was seen as raising the likelihood ofirrational lending and investing patterns which could ultimatelycause a recession when a resulting bubble pops.

ISLAMABAD, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) stayed bullish for the second straight day on Wednesday as the main index gained over a thousand points amid better interest from the stakeholders.
The Pakistan Stock Exchange's benchmark KSE 100-Index jumped by 2.50 percent, or 1,030.82 points, to 42,310.12 points on Wednesday when compared with Tuesday's close of 41,279.30 points.
The main index is currently trading 19.98 percent, or 10,566.34 points, lower when compared with an all-time peak of 52,876.46 points achieved on May 24, 2017. After dropping 5,358.30 points during first two months of the Financial Year 2018, the key index is showing signs of recovery as it has surged by 1,103.13 points in the month of September.
The KSE All-Share Index ramped up by 2.31 percent, or 683.18 points, to 30,236.13 points, the KSE 30-Index bolstered by 3.62 percent, or 758.13 points, to 21,721.23 points, the KMI 30-Index skyrocketed by 2.98 percent, or 2,079.90 points, to 71,783.61 points, whereas the Islamic All-Share Index gained 2.62 percent, or 540.83 points, to 21,177.41 points.
During Wednesday's trading session, the main index moved in a healthy range of 1,066.93 points as it touched an intraday high of 42,346.23 points as against an intraday low of 41,279.30 points.
Market volumes expanded by 74.38 percent, or 74.14 million shares, to 173.81 million shares on Wednesday when compared against Tuesday's trade figure of 99.68 million shares.
Market capitalization augmented by 2.04 percent, or 176.95 billion rupees, (1.66 billion U.S. dollars) to 8.83 trillion rupees whereas trade value inflated by 78.78 percent, or 4.26 billion rupees, to 9.67 billion rupees.
Among 388 active scrips on Wednesday, the prices of 285 issues advanced, 82 declined, whereas values of 21 other companies stayed unchanged.
