This makes all countries compete to reduce the tax rate as quickly and efficiently as possible. In the end, no nation has been victorious.”

“Today's agreement by 130 countries that account for more than 90% of the world's GDP is a clear signal. The race for the lowest tax rate is almost over. The United States will participate in the competition that we can win. Judging by the skill of our workers and the strength of our infrastructure.”

Ms Yellen said in a statement.

However, Ms Yellen did not disclose what GMT the tax rate would be. Biden has been pushing for countries around the world to set a minimum tax rate of 15%.

International Monetary Fund (IMF) director Christalina Georgiava also responded to the news, saying that 130 countries agreeing on GMT tariffs would help. to other countries Many other countries will turn to cooperate more in the future.
