In line with Dr. Michael, Haryadi, a facilitator of the Ceria Sehat Laughter Club and also the manager of Neo Self Empowerment (NSE) said the burning calories that occur during a one minute laugh equals doing light exercise for 20 minutes.
"But if coupled with laughing yoga where there is warming technique, and breathing will be better, so the focus is not only to lose weight, but for overall health," he explained.
Apart from that, Hariyadi said the key to the diet actually lies in the stress a person feels. Laughter can produce many hormones of happiness so that the person concerned is not easily stressed.
